JAPANESE GARDEN AT NIGHT ROCKEFELLER CENTER POSTCARD NEW YORK CITY
A vintage postcard with a night time scene of the Japanese Garden which was located on the roof of the RCA Building in Rockefeller Center in New York City. On the back of the postcard it reads the following: A corner of the Japanese Garden, one of the twelve individual gardens in the Gardens of the Nations on the 11th floor roof of the RCA Building in Rockefeller Center. Around an illuminated snowscene lantern are grouped three lead cranes, symbolic of the past, present and future. In the foreground a shallow stream winds under an arched bridge over hung by a weeping cherry tree. In the background against the walls of a Japanese tea house can be seen flowering azaleas and rhododendrons.
